Management at Landgate

7.4
7.4 rating for Management, based on 5 reviews
How accessible are managers and do they make good mentors? You may want to address internal communication, performance feedback or praise and recognition.
My team manager is highly accessible and very knowledgeable. We have fortnightly scheduled 1:1 meetings, and since she, as with the rest of the team, is situated directly near me, I am able to speak with her and address any queries or concerns. In our fortnightly 1:1s I am able to speak about my performance and how I am tracking, whether I require anything from her and how she can assist me. The communications between myself and my manager is very open and honest which means that I feel comfortable discussing my progress and concerns.

My current line manager is great. Other managers I have viewed overseeing other staff, has not been positive. Landgate is not immune to toxic people or political tug of wars.

As I am only in my first rotation within the organisation, I have only worked under one manager. However, my manager is very accessible to me and sets aside time each week for a meeting with me. My manager provides me with constructive feedback and praise, and is a very approachable person. To me, my manager has given me insight into future career prospects and is a great mentor for me as a graduate to have.

I have a good relationship with my manager. He often comes over to my desk in order to ask me how I am going.

I am satisfied with my seniors. The directors and managers seem to know what they're doing. They are sometimes accessible, depending on their schedule and they make good mentors and set an example for others. For me though, I interact and communicate a lot with my team lead. He gives me the most and helpful feedback and any recognition in the work I do for the team.

I think that most managers I have encountered at my time here have been relatively easy to talk to and get to know. There isn't too much of a strict hierarchy as far as I'm aware that stops you from booking sometime to discuss anything with your immediate manager or senior leaders.

Yes. My managers constantly check in and are available to provide advice and support where needed. I feel comfortable to approach them about any queries or help I need.
