Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
Minimal formal training was offered which I thought was strange, especially as some of the other grads had never worked in a law firm before. I would have been lost without my prior experience (especially in terms of time recording). While 'buddies' are assigned they dont usually actually train you. You are more so expected to teach yourself. Regardless this has actually taught me to have strong independent problem solving skills.

The training was very much learn as you go and ask questions along the way. This is how I learn so it worked well for me, however I know a lot of graduates initially struggled

I learnt almost everything from the other young people in my team and I was so grateful for that! However, I know other grads weren't as lucky and felt quite lost and like they were teaching themselves things. It would be valuable to have a dedicated session to billing and a dedicated session to iManage with your laptop with you (we did ours just staring at a screen which wasn't useful). The grad program two days in Sydney were really useful. It would be nice to have another one at the end of the program too!
