It is headquartered in San Francisco, California, U.S. The company was founded in May 2007 by Houston and it was named Evenflow, Inc. at that time. Dropbox was launched in 2008 during an annual technology conference called TechCrunch Disrupt. In October 2009, the company was renamed Dropbox, Inc.
