LGBTQ+ at Russell Kennedy

Pride @ RK is our employee network that supports the inclusion of our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer staff and their allies.

Who are we?
We welcome ALL Russell Kennedy employee to join Pride @ RK. Your sexual orientation and or gender identity don’t have to fall within the LGBTIQ rainbow spectrum to be a member – so as long as you support LGBTIQ inclusion or are an LGBTIQ ally, we welcome all.

What do we do?
Our goal is for all members of the LGBTIQ community and their allies to feel supported, safe and free to bring their whole selves to work. To help achieve this we:
- Develop and promote initiatives that foster a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for our LGBTIQ staff and their allies;
- Collaborate with Pride in Diversity to ensure our initiatives are progressive and fit for purpose;
- Celebrate important LGBTIQ calendar events throughout the year;
- Provide feedback to the Russell Kennedy Diversity & Inclusion Committee on how to best support the LGBTIQ community and its allies;
- Support external LGBTIQ charities

Allies
We understand that some people identify as LGBTIQ-friendly and want to take that next step to becoming an ally. Pride @ RK is here to support and encourage you to:
- Promote ideals of inclusion and respect;
- Display and champion non-discriminatory behaviour and language;
- Actively call out and combat discrimination against LGBTIQ identifying individuals both in the workplace and outside it; and
- Publicly support sexual and gender diversity
